Effects of replacing soybean meal with slow-release urea on milk production of Holstein dairy cows

چکیده

The study investigated the effects of replacing soybean meal (SBM) with slow-release urea (SRU) on milk production, composition, and rumen fermentation Holstein dairy cows. Sixteen cows weighing between 550 680 kg in mid lactation were randomly assigned to four dietary treatments a 12-week study. consisted T1: diet containing 16.7% crude protein (CP), T2: T1 0.5% SRU plant protein, T3: 0.75% T4: 1.00% protein. Animals fed three times day feed being offered ad libitum. Dry matter intake (DMI) average daily gain (ADG) not affected by level SRU. Feeding did affect production composition significantly, but fat nitrogen (MUN) levels increased. Significant differences observed ruminal volatile fatty acid (VFA) concentration. increased butyrate concentration no significant concentrations acetate or propionate. cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density (LDL), nonesterified (NEFA) concentrations, glucose, very-low-density (VLDL) β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) significantly treatments. Thus, feeding altered release rate ammonia provided more (NH3-N) for microbial synthesis rumen.

Effects of replacing soybean meal with canola meal and decreasing ‎crude ‎protein ‎on milk production and nutrient utilization of dairy cows in early lactation

This study investigated the effects of replacing soybean meal (SM) with canola meal (CM) and decreasing crude protein (‎CP) levels in CM based diets on performance of dairy cows when different sources of processed grains and CM were used. Canola meal was untreated or roasted at 130°C for 30 minutes and grains sources (corn and barley) were either ground or steamed-flaked. Eight Holstein cows (‎...

Replacing dietary soybean meal with canola meal improves production and efficiency of lactating dairy cows.

Previous research suggested that crude protein (CP) from canola meal (CM) was used more efficiently than CP from solvent soybean meal (SBM) by lactating dairy cows. We tested whether dietary CP content influenced relative effectiveness of equal supplemental CP from either CM or SBM. Fifty lactating Holstein cows were blocked by parity and days in milk into 10 squares (2 squares with ruminal can...

the effects of high non fibrous carbohydrates diet on milk production, inflammation and molecular mechanism of innate immunity in lactating dairy cows

Effects of grass silage and soybean meal supplementation on milk production and milk fatty acid profiles of grazing dairy cows.

The effects of supplementation with grass silage and replacement of some corn in the concentrate with soybean meal (SBM) on milk production, and milk fatty acid (FA) profiles were evaluated in a replicated 4 x 4 Latin square study using 16 dairy cows grazing pasture composed of ryegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, and white clover. Each experimental period lasted for 3 wk. The 4 dietary treatments wer...

Effect of Different Levels of Soybean Oil, Soybean and Canola Meal on Production Performance, Rumination Activity and Nutrient Digestibility in Holstein Dairy Cows

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of different levels of oil and soybean meal and Canola meal separately and mixed on productive performance, rumination and digestibility of nutrients in Holstein dairy cows. This research was carried out in a completely randomized design on 35 Holstein dairy cattle with 7 treatments and 5 cows with an average weight of 650 ± 40 kg. Treatments...
